Kevin McCarthy vows he’ll win speaker vote as House adjourns ahead of 14th ballot
At this point, it depends upon whether more Dems than Republicans miss the vote, assuming the Stubborn Six remain stubborn.

Steve Scalise would be so much easier for everyone to vote for.
Even 'the stubborn six' as you call them could vote for him.
I would happy too.

Yep...This speaker election process, if nothing else, should make it very clear to even the most casual observers that conservatism is not one of the GOP’s core concerns.

This is all about ramming McCarthy through as speaker, just as the elites have rammed through Slow Joe and the Ho, Fetterman, Dems in AZ, GA and elsewhere. I'm sure McCarthy has been offering pet projects to Dems in exchange for them staying home and missing the vote so he can win. So far, the Dems haven't taken that bait. The longer the House lacks a Speaker, the longer it will be before even token hearings are held on anything like Hunter's porn filled lap top. So, the Dems may not be playing ball, and as usual, they are sticking together while the GOP feuds and splits.

You're not the only person here suggesting that dems will not show up and give the win to McCarthy.
If he wins, I believe it will be because the remaining members accept his deals.
They'll probably end up regretting it.
Honestly, I've been enjoying this stand off and hope it continues for awhile.
