I wonder if one’s state government can defend one from such acts by another state.

I also wonder if Congress can repeal the enabling act that made California a state and turn it into a territory.

I work in the Tax Dept. of a large real estate company. We have one entity with nearly 90 LLCs that were determined to have Nexus in California.

Rather than fight it, we just don't pay any taxes to other states. Not a great solution, but that's not our fight.
