Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy declared his country a "global leader" in a speech to parliament on Wednesday, telling lawmakers to remain united in the face of Russia's invasion and praising Ukrainians for helping the West "find itself again."

Zelenskyy, in an annual speech held behind closed doors because of Russia's war, said Ukraine's military resistance against the Kremlin had reinvigorated a belief in values across the world.

Well, lets say that the Russian invasion has substantially reformed European energy policy, for the better, A.

And B, it has removed the harassment of the conservative Polish government.

And C, it has brought both Sweden and Finland overtly into NATO.

And, arguably D, it has forced Japan, finally, into a rather more enthusiastic regional cooperation with its neighbors. Now they are even offering to give their surplus F-15’s to the Philippines.

What this has done for the US? Nothing that I can see. Your problems are domestic and intractable.
