Now I am going to have to get creative to keep what I have left while helping my grown kids with their higher costs.

EXACTLY, same here!
I go back to 1972(in high school) per SS Lifetime Earnings record. Was looking at “retirement” in about 21 months but that is questionable now.
When I get to the age of taking SS (IF there is any money left) I will probably split it among my kids for grocery money. I am set and can get by with my preps and my real estate job.
