I don’t want any incompetent person doing ANY engineering. However, your assessment and description is accurate in many cases.
I’m referring to the “diverse” hirings. I know some highly intelligent blacks and females, but most in my field are white males. It’s obvious when someone is hired based on merit vs melanin or sitting to pee.
When the CEO of my former employer stated we needed our workforce to resemble our community, I knew it was time to leave. I’m outside Philly.
In my field, hiring diverse people means white guys need to do more work.
