“Maybe Russia can move though Hungary?”

Technically, Hungary is in NATO, but they’re getting as sick of NATO and the Globalists, very much like Turkey is, in the same boat (made the mistake of joining NATO). To see both countries break loose WOULD NOT surprise me, although I’d like to see Turkey stick around for a while, just to twist the proverbial knife into Sweden a bit more.

Russia would have to get through Ukraine first. Then it could theoretically move its forces through Hungary. I seriously doubt that Hungary would allow it to happen. Hungary receives a lot of subsidies from the EU. The subsidies would stop and there would be other repercussions for Hungary. Orban would have to be an idiot to try it. He would gain nothing, but lose a lot.

Any country that wants to leave NATO can leave NATO. I wish people would stop this fantasy that NATO is a club that they get press-ganged into being members of, and have no exit route.

It’s a completely voluntary club. Unlike the Russian equivalent though, it’s a club countries other than the superpower at the top actually don’t mind being members of.

Russia’s lost several of the members of CSTO and the existing club members aren’t that willing to be dragged fully into Putin’s absurd reconquest mission.
