How am I picking the Russian side? When did I say that I want Russia to win? If Ukraine could win without WW3 resulting, I’d be fine with that outcome - just hard to see how (and yes, that’s an opinion). Whichever side wins would have no effect on me, or my country.

Listen to you! What epithets have you tossed Russia’s way? When have you passed up an opportunity to denigrate or deprecate Ukraine and its leadership? And do you really believe that Russia prevailing would have no impact on the US?
I tell you: Arming Ukraine is a bargain compared to the US having to fight Russia head-on, in logistics alone.
