Could this be Russia’s second front? NATO distracted by Ukraine so Serbia Moved on Kosovo? Maybe Russia will send some aid to their Slavic friends.

WW III May well be coming in early 2023. This time it will hit home too. Serbia could become a dagger in the heart of NATO. Expect Iran to start things and North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela even South Africa. It will not stay in Ukraine.

“Maybe Russia will send some aid to their Slavic friends.”

That would be the friends that were illegally invaded by NATO.

Nah. There’s a little dust up there at least every few years. The Serbs fuss, the Albanians fuss, NATO fusses, then it dies down again. Been going on for over two decades. The license plate thing has been going on for over a decade.

IMHO, it would have been better to either cede that little area back to Serbia or else allow the Serbs to leave. But “the international community” is stuck on borders drawn by dead commies (even provincial boundaries drawn within a republic — Kosovo was a province of Serbia, not a constituent republic of former Yugoslavia), and they didn’t want the Serbs to leave there because then NATO would have presided over the *total* ethnic cleansing of Kosovo. As is stands, NATO merely presided over the near total ethnic cleansing of Kosovo.

Back in 1991, when the Serb minority of Croatia was reduced to second-class citizenship by their new constitution and getting whooped up on by the Croats and the Serb areas in turn declared their independence from Croatia, that was a big no-no according to the “international community” and only borders of republics counted, not provinces or oblasts. Same deal for Crimea and the Donbass oblasts of Ukraine — big no no. But for some reason, they broke their own rule and recognized the independence of Serbia’s province of Kosovo (and did so despite not implementing UNSC Resolution 1244).

Of course “the international community” was simply a euphemism for the USA from 1990 until just a few years ago. We were the only real superpower in the world then and called all the shots.

Anyway, now the Serbs who live there are caught in a tug-of-war between the little NATO protectorate of Kosovo (which is not a viable state) and Serbia, and used as pawns in that game. Of course Serbia does not stand a chance against NATO (which is owned and operated by the US), but they use this little enclave to make a point. It’s a pathetic little pawn in a pointless game. Nobody cares about those people. Nobody. It’s sad, but it is what it is.
