Women know that their traditional work and chores arent that hard compared to mens work and chores. Its also been shown that when women browbeat and see men doing womens chores, they lose respect for the men, and find it contemptible.
I think perhaps everyone is primed for the battle of the sexes without seeing the link between the demise of the extended family and all the extra work young parents get stuck with.
