The only place I encountered happy holidays was Trader Joe’s yesterday where I bought some pan chocolate Or what hipsters today call chocolate croissants I went to several Jewish jewelry stores everyone was merry Christmas they even advertise it on their billboards here Genesis and king jewelers and I know the owners of both and one are actually Orthodox Jews From Israel
And I told them that was why I picked them to buy from them or very cordial
I mean if I’m in another culture I’m going to give salutations for whatever their holiday is unless it’s something absurd like you know let’s be head infidel day
I have celebrated patriotic days in Colombia and Jamaica and Brazil and even hardly enough Switzerland lol
The hipster finook Who said happy holidays to me I just looked at him I didn’t say anything tacky or confrontational I just let it go I’m like I’m not gonna change him why be rude he doesn’t know any better probably
When a woke darling gives me “Happy holidays” I reply back with a smile then, “And Merry Christmas and a few Happy Holy Days to you!”
