Potatoes should be alright.. If they’re not sweet or yams.
I plant mine in mid-February here. Occasional frost just kills back the shoots but not the tubers... They’ll sprout again shortly.
Thus far, the russet potato sprouts look good. I sheltered three potted tomatoes under the deck, against the garage wall. They look good, except for some leaves touching the metal tomato cage.
