This is checked luggage, no carry on. He has no access to the luggage compartment during flight.

It sounds like he was planning to use it on the plane.
You don’t accidentally put ammo in peanut butter.

It was not in the carry on stuff.

“It doesn’t even make sense in checked baggage.”
Makes more sense than in your carryon ...

The person checking the weapon must also have a proper permit. False. Only in a very few states does a person need a permit to own a firearm.

The weapons sniffing squirrels were doing their job.

The Computed Tomography X-Ray (CTX) no doubt showed a difference in the consistency of the peanut butter and the density of the gun/ammo parts. Stupid ass.

Could've used baconlube. That way it would have been "ready to go" when assembled.

Of course it was creamy peanut butter, the chunky stuff could have caused the weapon to jam!

>I suspect if it is ‘declared’, it is tracked and treated specially.
When traveling with firearms, I put them in a pelican case and lock it with heavy duty combo locks. When declaring, the agent will inspect the interior of the case and then it is locked and sent down the ramp.
Upon arrival, an agent will deliver the case to you; it’s not delivered to you on the carousel.
That’s been my experience.

Terrible headline. It wasn’t peanut butter that was the problem.

Good choice so far but you forgot the Stilton and Lincolnshire Poacher. Very sad.

The lead would show up as a “blank” space, in turn arousing suspicion because of it’s inability to be scanned. Trust me, it’s been tried.

In Alex Kava’s book, Breaking Creed, written in 2015, she wrote the same scenario with cocaine instead of guns.
