KINGMAN, Ariz. (3TV/CBS 5/AP) — A Mohave County judge has denied Republican Abe Hamadeh’s challenge. Judge Lee F. Jantzen ruled quickly after closing arguments wrapped up, saying in part: “The bottom line is you just haven’t proven your case.”
The short-lived trial began Friday morning to challenge of his narrow defeat to Democrat Kris Mayes in the Arizona attorney general’s race. Hamadeh, who lost by 511 votes, alleges in his lawsuit that problems with printers in Maricopa County led to issues involving disenfranchised voters.
Earlier this week, the Mohave County Superior Court judge ruled that Hamadeh’s lawsuit could move forward on four of five counts, which makes claims that some provisional voters were excluded, provisional and early ballots were disqualified, there were unverified early ballots and that tabulation machine problem resulted in rejected ballots because voters didn’t fill them out correctly. The count that was dismissed alleged that illegal votes were counted for unverified early ballots.
Initially, he ruled Hamadeh’s case was different from other GOP counterparts because Hamadeh didn’t allege “fraud or personal agendas being pushed” in his lawsuit. Instead, he claimed mistakes by election officials led to a miscount of votes that could’ve affected the outcome of a narrow attorney general race. The race saw Democrat Kris Mayes come out on top by just over 500 votes, but the race has gone to an automatic recount since it’s within a 0.5% margin.

A McCainiac or a real Republican?
from noethics.net:
Judge Lee Jantzen of Bullhead City, AZ; The state of Arizona presented Lee F. Jantzen with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Wyoming School of Law.
Former Jan Brewer was duped into appointing Lee as a Mohave Cunty Superior Court judge in 2009. Lee didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the Lake Havasu/Kingman area. He received it because she had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.
It should be noted that Lee has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past twenty-six years (1992 thru 2018). Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Lake Havasu/Kingman area was about to offer Lee a good paying job.
The Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct found Lee guilty of the following misconduct.
Filed two false certificates that he had no matters under submission that were pending more than 90 days [perjury]
Waited 18-months before scheduling a status hearing on petition for post-conviction relief
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Lee by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
Because Judicial Misfits in Arizona are held to a much lower standard conduct then everyone else, Lee was never criminally charged with perjury or obtaining state benefits via fraud.
As we speak (ca. September 2018), Lee continues to set as a Mohave County Superior Court judge
Hope Kelli Ward is making a list and checking it twice.
Judge elections are usually low profile. But the Righteous Right needs to go after these guys in the next election so they don’t get re-elected by their extended family voting for them.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is a Republican.
Republican...
Not you- (thegagline) but all in general.
You’ll need to check other members of their extended family and off-shore.
It is the democrats who threaten the judges and their family.
doesn’t mean anything
One problem with a recount is the voters that were disenfranchised by the Maricopa Co. “shenanigans”.
Remember way back (in 2020) when the Dems were screaming about long lines at the polls were racist?
Remember way back (in 2020) when the Dems were screaming about long lines at the polls were racist?
Not a sound of racism this time...ha, ha.
I am just hoping that the count for Abe was wrong. To bad we can not count votes of those that left the voting centers in disgust.
