Former President Donald Trump unloaded on the 4,500+ page, $1.7 trillion dollar spending bill currently making its way through Congress; he says “It’s crammed with left-wing disasters, Washington betrayals, and special interest sellouts all designed to keep the corruption going.”
Trump shared the message on TRUTH Social, saying “every single Republican should vote no,” on the bill.
“It’s a disaster for our country and a disaster for the Republican Party,” says Trump.
Watch the message above.
Heh, I think your last sentence of your post outlined exactly the conundrum as citizens we find ourselves in, FRiend.
It means we aren’t being governed.
It means our tax money is being extracted for their own personal use.
It means we are enslaved.
“ If DeSantis is perceived as a threat be the Establishment, then he will get the exact same treatment at the same level as Trump.
If DeSantis is not a threat to the Establishment, then why bother electing him? ”
Good reasoning and question. Kudos. If they’re not yet at the gates, you can at least smell Visigoth campfires on the winds.
It’s go time in America. The 2024 presidential election has the potential to be a seminal moment in our history. I hope we don’t blow it by chasing after shiny objects.
I have read many of their writing’s predictions have pretty much come true or in the process of coming true and so many Conservatives are blind to the fact.
More or less, I agree. The entire time creating the illusion we are free. The two parties rely on each other, it maintains clear division and keeps us from uniting against them.
I have believed for many years now that it’s one party (more or less). Most of these folks have worked together for decades, they are like a dysfunctional family. When it takes months or more to pass a bill I say horse crap. It’s only to keep adding more divisive issues, the news reports them and like good serfs we fight. All the while they are adding far worse, but we don’t read, we trust politicians and news to tell us. This is the exact reason we have all the surveillance etc al now. Both sides snuck it in another covid bill in 2020.
How much was Hannity paid to praise FBI? Inquiring minds want to know.
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act,[b][1] also known as the CARES Act,[2] is a $2.2 trillion economic stimulus bill passed by the 116th U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Donald Trump on March 27, 2020, in response to the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.[3][4] The spending primarily includes $300 billion in one-time cash payments to individual people who submit a tax return in America (with most single adults receiving $1,200 and families with children receiving more[5]), $260 billion in increased unemployment benefits, the creation of the Paycheck Protection Program that provides forgivable loans to small businesses with an initial $350 billion in funding (later increased to $669 billion by subsequent legislation), $500 billion in loans for corporations, and $339.8 billion to state and local governments.[6]
The spending bill has more pork than Jimmy Dean has ever had.
“Well, thank you all very much. This is a very important day. I’ll sign the single-biggest economic relief package in American history and, I must say, or any other package, by the way. It’s twice as large as any relief ever signed. It’s $2.2 billion, but it actually goes up to 6.2 — potentially — billion dollars — trillion dollars. So you’re talking about 6.2 trillion-dollar bill.”
Some context of what the CARES act actually provided, you know, the details you left out
You are correct. I left out inflation and the fact that CARES ACT, signed into law by Trump, was the single largest appropriations bill of all time.
If you were calling me a nevertrumper troll, you’re the first around here, and further shows exactly why we can’t achieve anything when the dems can.
We’ll eat our own alive and most of the dems will circle the wagon.
I remembered him either vetoing or threatening to veto on one of those bills, and I was wrong. Another freeper corrected me, who didn’t do research and went off my obviously faulty memory, and provided some proof.
Nope, not you.
