The USA and average Americans would be better served if the likes of Amazon, Target, and Walmart went bankrupt, and smaller/local businesses filled the gap

Years ago, I used to believe in “big business” and their benefits to America. No longer.

But for the most part, they have become oligopolists, and grifters, using fake, fiat, printed and manipulated Federal Reserve money to their advantage. The promote globalism and off-shoring of jobs. They suck-up to woke government for favors, and the deep-state indeed likes having just a few huge oligopolists over whom they have power. Its the Communist China model of private-sector governance.

21% margins use to be the rule in grociers, it is now 9%.
43% margins in clothing are now 15%, electronics use to 40% now it is 7%. The retailers are not the ones with the profits anymore. You will note Target is in K Marts role and the high end in clothes run very lean shops more like Target use to be.

It doesn’t really matter to me who retails imported, mostly from China, crapola. It is all the same to me.
