All my barn plumbing froze during the snowmagedan! I replaced it with PEX pipe and fittings. I plan to leave a faucet running on the far side of the barn so it doesn’t freeze up. Central Texas, Thursday night forecast calling for 10F.

I’ve been looking into compost “furnaces” to help mitigate cold snaps. They can be crude, but really release a lot of heat. I got a compost heap up to 175° once. Imagine if you could harvest that energy.
