Everybody is aware of the corruption, the main issue is whether Ukraine has the right to be a free and independent nation or must it be forever under Putin's/Russian boot?
They would be better off under Russia’s boot and then we wouldn’t have to pay for their corruption.
Had every US administraation not pushed NATO closer and closer to the Russian border for the last 20+ years, we probably would not be having this conversation. We'd probably be having a different one about Putin and Crew; not this one, though. What would you do if a historically hostile foreign power set up shop right next door? That's not excusing the brutal kleptocrat Russian oligarcy. It's just pointing out that this war did not start in Feb 22, and the US, NATO and Ukrainian government (which was installed through a coup executed by Western intellgence agencies) are not the good guys in this.
And quite frankly, I am tired of having my taxpayer money go to foreign countries for other people's freedom, when my Birthright as an American is eroded every day through uncontrolled borders, sham elections, corruption, immorality and the encroahment on US soil by hostile hostile foreign powers. Until all that is taken care of the needle on my Give-A-S**t meter barley budges when it comes to discussions about the "freedoms" of people who are not Americans.
