It really doesn’t matter who we elect, the country is in a downward spiral. It’s just a matter of who is at the helm when we hit the rocks and how long it takes for the boat to sink.

We can look at their record.

Plus while in office, our borders weren’t secured, the investigation of Hillary was quietly dropped and the swamp didn’t change in level

Well, it doesn’t involve a new party with 25.00% of the
vote. It doesn’t involve the Republican party with 25.00%
of it either.

I have no problem with all of us withdrawing our
Republican registration.

If they have between 5-10% of the registered voters, maybe
that will send a message. So far nothing has sent one
strong enough that they won’t still put up McConnell to be
lord over us all.

That’s just pure tone deaf.

As I said before, we don’t have a party that fights for anything. So what is your solution to the problem? I’m interested in seeing yours.

You may disagree with what I said, and that’s entirely fine, but we need constructive and creative ideas because the present situation is simply not working for us and we are losing the fight.

We find ourselves in a situation where the Left has cast off reality to adopt
Satanic principles as their own.

Now, realizing this, we have awoken to the fact many on our side are somehow
enamored with the same ideas.

The media and the GOPe/RNC act as if anyone with an “R” after their name
is an adamant Conservative. Sadly, that isn’t true.

Conservatives believe in the Constitution, but a lot of Republicans see
them as the Left has painted them.

I don’t believe that starting a third party will peel off all Republicans to form
a Conservative party.

The RINOs would remain behind.

IMO, about the only thing that would turn this around is a fundamentalist
religious revival.

People are going to have to regain respect for moral values.

The people in Noah’s day couldn’t. The people in Sodom and Gomorrah
couldn’t.

I honestly don’t know if there IS a going back from here.

Christians believe that Christ is coming back. I believe He comes back to
save His people from certain destruction.

I’m not trying to force religion on anyone. For me this is the only
explanation that makes sense.

I do not believe two thirds of the Republican Party is Conservative, and we’d
have to get more than that and a segment of Democrats to join us, for a
third party to work.

With three parties you could theoretically win with 34% of the vote, but that
would require the Democrat’s 51% to drop below 34%.

Good luck with that. There isn’t a functioning brain cell left of center these
days, and we are the center. We’re not far right whacked out people.

We support our Founding Principles, which are bedrock dead center on
the political spectrum.

I’m not fully convinced a little over a third of our populace sees value in
our nation any longer.

We have a segment on this forum that no longer does.

Our movement is in disarray.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. The country is profoundly different today in terms of culture, morality and ethics. Our direction is one of alarming national decline.

I totally understand your reservations about starting a third party. The history of third party movements is not encouraging but then again nothing worth fighting for is easy to do. Right now we don’t have a party that stands for anything. The only reason many people vote for the GOP is simply because they are the only alternative to the radical Democrat Party. In other words, people are not really voting FOR the GOP.

I and many others on this board view the GOP as a soulless party devoid of any real convictions. I honestly believe that a new party, led by the right people and principles, would attract a lot of supporters. As we’ve seen throughout history strong leadership with bold ideas can accomplish amazing things and I think a lot of people are starved for a new direction. Replacing a tired, vacuous and corrupt party shouldn’t be that hard to do.

Maybe I’m being too idealistic but we have to do something. We are in desperate need of something to kick start the conservative political movement and inspire people to believe in something positive and constructive.

Again, I understand and appreciate your reservations but as you noted we are in disarray, and we are losing this battle. Its time for new generals and new tactics IMHO.

It’s another time for debating the future, in some ways like
our Founding Fathers did.

I appreciate the give and take of the discussion.

I do understand where you are coming from and the frustration
you have. So do I.

LOL! You sound like one of those Democrats who whenever they miss the toilet bowl shout out “TRUMP’S FAULT”!
