Apparently, a teachers’ union president, Randi Weingarten said, “Sure, Whelan is important. But Griner is a gay and black female. So it was REALLY important we bring her back.”

So from this administration’s (which got the most votes in history, remember) point of view, not getting the black lesbian basketball player who hates America and its national anthem, out would be the the real scandal. Getting a white male Marine veteran—not so much.
