The Breitbart article [1] you posted [2] contradicts you. The Bush administration “Wide Receiver” explicitly tracked the weapons and resumed in arrests. It was explicitly ended well prior to “Fast and Furious”. In the Obama administration “Fast and Furious” was a subsequent operation that explicitly disdained tracking, controls, and legality.
