I’ve got news for you. Japan is an island, 6000 miles from the US. A naval blockade would have sufficed. But you go right ahead and pat yourself on the back.

As per those bombings. The result was way less than what would have happened if it had not. I do question the second bomb though. That one seemed to be another test for the oh so great scientists to see the effects.

The Japanese still had over one million troops in China and throughout Asia. A blockade of the Home Islands was not going to cause them to lay down their arms.
