I know that, it just seemed the more logical post to respond to.
“Intelligence” can be meant, and measured many ways. You can have IQ tests, bank accounts, popularity/likability.
I’ve known, and worked with very smart people who got their asses fired because of *HOW* they said what they said. Seriously high performers who got booted out the door for much less than ‘mean tweets’ or hiring some of the raging idiots we’ve seen in cabinet and judicial positions in the last few years.
Lots of smart people cause themselves a whole mess of grief. Lots of fanatics on both left and right are blind to how mean and stupid their idols can act.
Gotcha. We’re in agreement.
We were just discussing different points was all.
The key to what you are saying is that most people are easily duped. The con artists, traveling preachers, car salesmen types find them easy prey. Factor in the media and the fakeness of TV/movies/news that can change the narrative and make any snake seem palatable, it’s a recipe for disaster. They key going forward is to educate these morons on how they are being manipulated and that they are foolish to let themselves.
