To much of the “me too” movement was exactly that, women submitting to powerful men for economic advantage and then blaming the men for being men. A society must have rules for its women or it loses its cohesion.
And the women who celebrated this witch hunt have no idea how many opportunities they destroyed for women. They’ll never see it, but they won’t get hired. They will not be selected for travel, or projects where the man in charge doesn’t want to expose himself to risk.
He will carefully have very plausible reasons.
And they will be treated to a strictly business relationship. No getting lunch, no asking how was your weekend, etc.
