Yea, yea, yea. I’ve heard this “investigation” stuff before. Pound the desk, demand answers, vow justice.
Then, nothing happens.
Wake me when someone goes to jail, otherwise, it’s all bluster.
We just went through a year of democratic investigations, and not a thing came of it. I think the American public are sick of investigations. How about we actually get some legislation passed. Congress never works. They get paid all that money and then doesn’t do a thing.
That is because Congress is not a law enforcement body, has NO authority to "investigate" private citizens when Congress lacks a substantial legislative purpose; and Congress is also not a Grand Jury and lacks prosecutorial authority.
So, OF COURSE you should not expect "justice", because justice is not in Congress's job description.
