Trump: “The greatest invention in the history of mankind!”
This issue alone is dispositive. Trump was played like the fool he is by Fauci & Co. Up until now, DeSantis's stance with respect to the COVID vaccines has been disappointing to say the least. But if he's truly willing to pursue this matter, then Trump should well and truly be kicked to the curb.

What?!? Ron fought like heck to ban vax mandates when other govs and politicians ran away. He took GREAT HEAT at the time. He also refused to close beaches and other public areas, when the rest of the country was screaming at him to follow the CDC guidlines, etc. He refused to dictate mask mandates, kept schools open, when so many others in leadership went lockdown crazy.
Ron Desantis blazed the path. Noem was good too, but we have a huge population, and are way higher on the radar.
“Deathsantis” was the nickname they all used. Tried to bully him into compliance when most everyone else meekly caved.
It really pissed off the feds, all of them, because the 3rd largest state told them they weren’t going along. They knew FL would soon have the data to prove FL made the right choices, and they were really pissed.
Results? Higher school kid scores, no more deaths than average (adjusted for age), our economy one of the best in the nation.
We had freedom! Everyone else stayed inside, no school, masks everywhere. Not us!!!
Why?

I would say that during the COVID “crisis” and post, DeSantis had not been disappointing. In fact, he followed the steps that he indicated above. His leadership during the crisis when being assailed by the media any time a death count upticked displayed courageous and decisive leadership by not bending the knee to change his freedom policy. For vaccines, he exercised all power available to a state by refusing to mandate or enforce federal mandates, and had always maintained that the shots were unproven and possibly unsafe for the basis of those anti mandate policies. Now that the data is in, he plans to file suit. Waiting until your case is solid before pursuing is exactly what a competent JAG would do.
