He is right. We were all focused on busses taking wetbacks to blue states. We were also stupidly missing the fact that while we're distracted with that theatre, those people are here. And here to stay.

Conservatives are some of the most manipulatable and obtuse people on earth.

That’s because Newt had the same vulnerabilities as Slick!
Newt structurally was in a weaker position. Given his vulnerabilities he couldn’t or wouldn’t withstand retaliation.

For a historian Newt surprisingly forgot Machiavelli’s maxim regarding challenging the prince.

I still think Newt is the only one capable of being an effective RNC chair. He won’t do it. Also, probably too old.
