Agreed. And if you are a retired equity partner, how do you get fired? Took her clients that she was still servicing? Not allow her to practice on premises? Not sure I understand. I thought that an equity partner had some clout; own a percentage of the biz, voting at boards, etc. The best revenge here I think is too cash out, take her book of business (I believe she can only keep original clients she brought in), find like minded attorneys, start or buy in to a new firm, and put them in the ground.
