McCarthy may not be ideal, but we could do worse. We’re all tired of the hold-my-nose-and-vote routine, but sometimes pragmaticism is still the best strategy.

There’ll be a lot more we have in common with McCarthy than any of the Democrats. It would be foolish to throw away the speakership by letting the Democrats choose.

What the pragmatist fails to realize is that the Democrats are choosing. MAGA doesn't have a voice and must always compromise because the RINOs never will. We either support their candidate or the Democrats win. It's a coercive argument where the RINOs never hold their noses for us. In fact, they work to defeat conservatives far harder than they work against any Democrat.

“It’s a coercive argument where the RINOs never hold their noses for us. In fact, they work to defeat conservatives far harder than they work against any Democrat.”

Unfortunately, too true.

I felt that when Romney ran for the Senate it would have been better to vote for the Democrat, even if that led to a Democrat majority. He’s that bad.

On the other hand, Roe v. Wade was overturned through a better court makeup, and a few other smaller victories came about. I think without a few RINOs helping, this would not have happened.
