“ Which states are those? Did any Republican candidates win their elections in those states, or only Democrats?”

————————-

Seriously??? CA, CO and NY mailed to everyone. I’m sure some republicans won but that isn’t the point.

If only 120-160 million vote normally and 330 million are mailed without request….what are the odds that those that have no interest in voting won’t sell their ballot? Surely you’ve seen examples of ballot harvesting and groups that offer money for ballots. Granted, those that might request a ballot can do the same thing. But if everyone gets a ballot, groups can target entire neighborhoods looking to purchase ballots.

If states treated ballots like banks treat money, none of this would be an issue. Stopping mass mailed ballots is only a bandaid.

Here (CA) everyone was mailed a ballot, but some (from what I saw) still showed up to vote in person. What happened to the ballots not mailed? You’re supposed to surrender them to the elections official at the polling place and watch them “spoil” it so it can’t be voted again.

Like a mailed check, that can’t be cashed until it is endorsed?

Or like a credit card, that can’t be used until you activate it from your home phone number?
