Don’t try to make mail-in balloting work. That is a fool’s errand and the bad guys will always find ways to abuse it and cheat. Ban it altogether. We didn’t use it for hundreds of years and there is no reason to use it now.

Yes, “Mail in voting is a privilege, not a right.” If you are too lazy or unconcerned to show up at the polls, we don’t want you picking our representatives.

Frankly, I’d like to re-institute a land ownership requirement. Land owners have the biggest stake in the game.

100% agree. If not required to be a land owner to vote as outlined in the original Constitution, at least proof of US Federal Income Tax payment exceeding allowed deductions. Either have some skin in the game or you’re simply a bystander.

Unfortunately this change was an amendment to the Constitution, so the only remedy is probably a convention of states, but it’s a great reason to keep working on that.

We live in a highly mobile society. People often take work assignments away from home for months at a time, like our military personnel. We also have more elderly people who can't get out easily. I don't believe that mail in voting will get banned entirely. There is too much demand for it, but it should be discouraged.

That's about as likely to happen as restoring indentured servitude.
