SCOTUS didn't want to adjudicate the election itself. This case is not that. What it seeks is a remedy against those in Congress who refused to investigate the fraud. So, SCOTUS gets to stay above it all and declare "Shame on you Congress for not investigating" while it remains aloof. This may be the case they wanted to do that.

Well, SCOTUS only needed on more justice to grant cert in the PA case when Amy Barrett was nominated, and she froze once she got on the court. Maybe she will find this case worth hearing.

According to Docket Search, it appears that certiorari has been requested but not yet granted.

The case asks that all those who failed to protect the Country be immediately removed from office and barred from holding future public office for the remainder of their lives.  This would potentially include the President, Vice President and more than 380 members of Congress.  Were this to be granted it could be followed by further investigation into their actions which could lead to criminal proceedings.

And I'd like a pink pony for Christmas.
