“I really wish we could get more Linux phones around here.

Why are we waiting on Musk though? Shouldn’t we do it ourselves?”

Well we can, but currently the concept is limited. It takes pretty good tech skills to root a device and install Linux without bricking it. Then here are only certain makes and models that this can be done with because hardware support has to be incorporated. Then the apps would have to be built for mobile device Linux specifically. Then websites would have to be built to recognize, allow access, and to serve up Linux mobile themes and templates because these are mobile OS specific.

Musk is going to have all these same challenges. It is not as simple as just creating your own OS for mobile devices. He will also have provide the apps and to expect the whole industry from user up to add and incorporate his new protocol.

I wasn’t even thinking bootloaders and rooting. I bought mine several years ago ready for use so I could skip all of that, and even then, nobody wanted to get off of Woke Apple or Woke Android.

And they still don’t want to. Even when it’s just a simple purchase, the motivation is not actually there to divest from woke.

It is true that the programmers making these phones have a long way to go before installing on a phone is as mind numbingly easy as it is to install Linux on a computer. But even with THAT amount of ease though, we still can’t get people off of the woke platforms.

Maybe Elon Musk starpower is what it would require.
