Ten years ago, a number of people on this forum denounced Ron Paul for shaking the hand of some white nationalist. It was likely that Paul knew nothing about that person. However, Trump or his staff would know about West's statements and a quick web search would have indicated Fuentes' ideology.

Are Trump and his staff stupid? It is possible that the former President is alienated from the mainstream Jewish establishment. Despite Trump being the most pro-Israel President since Lyndon Johnson, it must be noted that Netanyahu immediately congratulated Biden upon the latter winning the Electoral College. Even Macron and Merkel were not so quick as Netanyahu. Remember that his son-in-law and daughter, who are Jewish, have declined to participate in his 2024 election campaign.

It is possible that the hostility of not only the Deep State, but Conservatism, Inc., has moved Trump to the alt-right. You must wonder if Trump is well advised.

Trump is being advised very poorly. And of course, the racist dregs of this forum have shown up like flies to defend Fuentes, a guy who calls for dictatorship and praises Hitler and segregation.
