That’s a couple bucks for school...
I was a day student. A lot less money, and a lot less drama. My first year was $1,800 tuition, including a very good lunch. Prices went up, but scholarships were easy to get. The school liked to take the moneyed foreigner of the day, so there were plenty of Persians (Iran) in the late '70s early '80s. Times were tough for prep schools in the '80s. They almost all went co-ed, and had to deal with declining enrollments. Cheshire Academy sold off most of its land and a valuable building (Seabury Hall), but made it through.

Different times. Last year day school was $42,000, boarding was $62,000.
It looks nice/pretty grounds.
