Well, well, this opens up all sorts of new legal avenues. So, what they’re saying is that if one member of a particular group attacks other members of that group with hate in their hearts then they can be charged with a hate crime? And, since violent crimes against persons almost always involve some degree of hate, that would make them all hate crimes?
I am still waiting for someone to define “love crimes”.

People would have to prove in court that they loved the dead victim or their ethnic or racial group. Or “I was indifferent to the guy before I shot him.” If they don’t “hate” the victim then they have a funny way of showing their affection.
