That's not the law, it's a pamphlet. These guidelines are for reference only. Right at the top of the page.

I believe my post above has the relevant law.

I can't find this bullet point from that site under the Exceptions to the resign-to-run law section...
Persons seeking the office of President or Vice President. (ss. 99.012(3)(a), (6), and (7), F.S.)

To wit...99.012 Restrictions on individuals qualifying for public office.
(3)(a) No officer may qualify as a candidate for another state, district, county, or municipal public office if the terms or any part thereof run concurrently with each other without resigning from the office he or she presently holds.
(6) If an order of a court that has become final determines that a person did not comply with this section, the person shall not be qualified as a candidate for election and his or her name may not appear on the ballot.
(7) This section does not apply to:
(a) Political party offices.
(b) Persons serving without salary as members of an appointive board or authority.

Can you find it?

This is an offial publication relleased by the State of Florida. Unless I've misread this...or have misunderstood the point you're trying to make...it says that state office holders who are running for President are not required to resign from their Florida state office as they're seeking the Presidency.

Exceptions to the resign-to-run law:

Political party offices; or

Persons serving without salary on an appointed board or authority.

Candidates for federal office;

Persons seeking the office of President or Vice President. (ss. 99.012(3)(a), (6), and (7), F.S.)
