Possibly. After reading much about the Earps, Wyatt as a Deputy Marshall in Dodge City went to Ft. Griffin to track down an outlaw where he met Holiday. Wyatt was never a lawman in Texas.

I've studied and been to Tombstone and the gunfight didn't occur at the O.K. Corral on the main street of Allen. It occurred on the next street over of Fremont in an empty lot. Of course the Gunfight at Lot. 42 just doesn't have the same ring. I find the Earp and Cowboy saga facinating.

Another unknown fact is that Wyatt was not a lawman in Tombstone until brother Virgil (US and town Marshall) deputized him to disarm the Cowboys in Lot. 42.

There is “history” and there is the narrative of “history” that we are taught with a larger goal in mind by those who teach history or who think the “script” would read better if......
