Gerrymandering affects districts, it doesn’t affect statewide races, this person is an idiot.

I can gerrymander districts in a state to be weighted one way or another, but statewide elections are a cumulation of all votes cast, irregardless of which district they are cast from....

You can’t “gerrymander” yourself a statewide victory unless you created something equivalent to the Electoral College at the state level, which Florida does not have.

If states set up electoral college type of setups, urban overwhelm that affects most states would be much harder to accomplish.

IE 1 elector per county, and that elector is tied to vote for who won their county, irrespective of counties population, or some such... Then GOP would be governor of nearly every state.

Ms Kumar is an idiot.

Correct

Not 100% certain on the voting structure in FL, but it it is a state wide vote.

Unless they mean “People not living in FL can’t vote in the election!” type of thing.
