He worked in a federal agency for decades, but not the DEA.
He did not have a high opinion of the FBI, either.
I am looking for my shocked face.
All government agencies are corrupt. Defund and don’t start over. It’s time to go back by eliminating all federal agencies not specifically called out in the constitution.
I’m amazed when one looks at the almost total corruption south of our border that so many in this country assume that it stops at the border. Drug cartels, drug dealers, etc. only exist and thrive through corruption.
The money is enormous. This will certainly happen.
In our large cities, the Democrats and gangs work together as well.
It is rampant corruption at all levels....local, state and federal government.
*********
I agree but not sure how you can do that in today's society.
Once defunding starts that will impact most all agencies and
business across the spectrum. Thus the people of the USA will
be impacted severely jmo.
“Drug cartels, drug dealers, etc. only exist and thrive through corruption.”
I sometimes wonder if the cartels maybe have better ethics than the majority of Washington’s 3 letter agencies. FBI, DEA, ATF, IRS and on and on.
This country has become something to be ashamed of.
Smugglers Blues
Now I need a Miami Vice rerun fix.
the web is enormous and so is the corruption
It is said that one should never ascribe to corruption that which can easily be explained as incompetence....and this may be true.
However, it is also true that incompetence is what opens the door for corruption and allows it to flourish.
Good call. That was a fun show indeed.

Our alphabet agencies are taxpayer funded gangs.
Time to bring back public hangings maybe?
The agency that preceded he DEA, BNDD, was notoriously corrupt. Too much money in the drug business, on both sides of the transaction, doing and investigating.
Someone above mentioned Miami Vice. The early seasons had some great writers. In one episode a DEA guy was selling info to “calderone”. There are episodes in Blue Bloods that point to DEA problems too. The writers are not weaving these stories out of thin air, there is a reason beyond mere suspicion.
Top men.
There are a lot of power poles out there just waiting to be used.
