The British are a little late to the party. The nice shiny expensive electrical stuff is already broken and can’t be fixed in anything close to quick.
This action today, a move to declare Russia a ‘terrorist state’ in the EU parliament, may seal the fate of Ukraine.
The EU can’t easily climb down from this, and it makes negotiation almost impossible as things now stand. The war will continue until the Ukrainian or the Russian government begs for peace. This can no longer be solved by signing a piece of paper.

The Russians have been begging for negotiations for months now. They want out of this war.
The problem is they are still refusing to leave Crimea. Ukraine will need to take the peninsula and then Russia will come to reality and drop its demands.
