A former Soviet-occupied state? Hardly… Ukraine was one of the four constituent republics of the original Soviet Union.
The Red Army invaded Ukraine and occupied it in 1919. Being a puppet state in the Red Empire doesn't make it less occupied. I'm sorry that you don't know history.

Is “Red Empire” your made up term for the Soviet Union, that was not formed until 1922?
