I’ve worked in the tech industry 25+ years. I learned very early on that I was completely replaceable. For every person exiting, there are 300+ who want your job and are capable of it. Sure, might take them a little bit to get up to speed, but they will.

The talent search doesn't have to be that far since the code is already written. This is about maintenance, security, deactivating users, and adding new users.

Twitter doesn't even need to market itself anymore, except maybe to those who left or were de-platformed.

If the talent pool is tight, Elon Musk may have to delay innovations but that's not likely.

I too spent much time in the business...One day sort of bragging to my dad about money and my position, he looks at me and says, The graveyard is full of indispensable people...I looked at things differently since.
