I wish I could have been more joyful about yesterday, with Trump declaring his intent to campaign for the nomination, but I am not. I still want what he could deliver as president but I don’t think Trump can work with his supporters enough to create that working environment of productivity.

I get the impression he wants to regain what has wrongly (and illegally) been taken from him, and he has no particular interest in listening to the concerns of others on how to go about achieving this goal.I could regain my prior level of confidence in Trump if, as a beginning, he could tap the brakes on namecalling other republicans or their spouses (Coco-Chow). All that does is stir up a new source of enemies for himself. Take a breath, Mr. President, slow down and find some way to show your fellow republicans that you have some respect for them. They don’t owe you their careers.

Save that clever anger and sarcasm for the enemy, the Dem/Socialists. And even then, don’t give them more easy ammunition to deflect from your actual message. Don’t make fun of their weight, the car they drive, or the way they talk. The 2016 approach is not going to work in 2024 without a few changes. Everyone knows you now. Save all those little “jokes” for your rallies if you are nominated. Start out calm, focused and collected, or you will lose some donor support from those on the fence. Find others to do the hiring for your campaign. Delegate.

Stay on message and focus on the future of America. We cannot change what has already been done, nor are we as republicans in a position to prosecute what was done. Walk away from the past. Focus on present day issues such as the border, the economy, the schools, Oh, and voter intergrity too.

Some of our worst enemies are republicans, and they deserve the mocking and scorn they receive.

You should send him a letter telling him this. Seriously, you should.

well said.

We had 12 Republicans vote to shred religious liberty on Wednesday. We got big problems.

We don’t need more.
