There is a long history to the term bit near as I can figure “woke” started as a self identifying term for those who claimed they understood how life really, REALLY worked. It was how, in particular, race grievance people described themselves, they were “woke” while others who didn’t endlessly parrot their BS ... weren’t.
As with everything else, the faggots took over the term and made it all about themselves.
Think about that one South Park episode where Chef described to Mr Garrison and Mr Slave how black people dealt with others adopting the slang.

Woke is synonymous with being conditioned (institutionally indoctrinated) to let others, bully professors and coaches for example, do your thinking for you, particularly when you are following the money.

I have always found it quite amazing that the black community has tolerated this “inclusion” of LGBT rights as legitimate social grievances on par with their own.

Pretty much no one would say unconscious bias doesn’t exist. We all have unconscious expectations based on our experiences with the world around us. Some are positive and some are not but we own ourselves and it’s up to us to manage our reactions. A friend said it wasn’t his job to educate another who used a term out of ignorance. Well, yes it is. We can decide if we care about words or if we take away that power. Had a freeper kindly message me to call me a “douchebag” because I think we need a contest in 2024, not a coronation. Other things were said in the message about my family as well but it had no effect on me. Sticks and stones. All it did was reveal that person’s character.
That’s different than demanding all human interaction be seen through a lens of ceaseless micro aggressions, claiming (specifically) no “white person” can genuinely love and respect “Bl*ck and br*wn people” (a shockingly acceptable phrase that might as well be the N word.) It’s all so reductive. It judges people based on skin tone. That’s racist. That’s dividing people. That’s creating anxiety on both sides, it’s causing paranoid feelings on both sides.
It’s about controlling minds, dehumanizing individuals into classes of oppressed and oppressor. It’s about political and financial power. True Social Justice is about equal treatment and focusing on individuals not collectives.
Here in Georgia, some people assume things about me from my “skin tone” but I am from Southern California where “race relations” are historically quite different than the experiences here.
Woke has demonized colorblindness. Being colorblind means you take people as individuals and aren’t obsessed with their skin tone, are prejudiced in favor or against them because of it. Woke wants you to assume certain stereotypes about all Black Americans or “POC” (how is “POC” ok?) but, of course, doing so is racism.
I find it humorous that they dare to invoke the original/historical meaning of a term when the libs consistently reinvent words with new definitions we can never get back. The term “woke” is now an insult, regardless of whatever it used to mean. Get used to it.
Oh, it’s way beyond just black people now. It’s about “trans” women and their right to take over women’s sports. It’s about sex changes for adolescents. It’s about how every Netflix show has to have an interracial gay couple kissing. It’s how no terrorist on tv can be Muslim anymore (unless he has a really good reason to hate America.) It’s the whole kit & caboodle.
