They don’t serve water in many restaurants (and companies advertise dishwashers that use less water) because it helps save the planet to avoid using water. Also water for cattle to let them live long enough to provide beef when slaughtered.

Gas-powered car fire: 1,500 degrees F, once out it’s out.
EV fire: 5,900 degrees, can reignite multiple times and up to days later.
Lithium DOES react violently with water. I suspect something like the foam they use for aircraft fires may be more appropriate.
