Grids will not handle the increased load, and a lot more generation is needed. The environmental damage to mine for this crap too is crazy, and very ironic to the weirdos defending this stuff. If it’s so great, let markets decide. It doesn’t need to be forced.

Don’t get me wrong. I fully understand the advantages of EVs. I am not getting one because I live in the apartment block and the manager is against putting a charger in the parking garage because they think it is a fire risk. If I move to a house I am getting a used S-model in a heartbeat. I also need to drive about 3,000 miles both ways twice a month over the area where even a gas is hard to get. That is why I am not partying with the ICE vehicle any time soon. My point is that ICE is going to stay relevant for a time being.
