Republican Joe Lombardo has won the race for governor in Nevada, NBC News projects, narrowly defeating Democratic incumbent Steve Sisolak.
The victory for Lombardo, who was endorsed by former President Donald Trump, puts a Republican back in the top job in the pivotal presidential battleground state and could have major implications on the future of education and criminal justice in the swing state.
His projected win comes after days of delays in the processing of ballots in Clark County, the largest county in the state and the one that includes Las Vegas.
Sisolak conceded the race on Friday night.

What happened? Did a Penske truck break down? Run out of ballot drops?
The Clark county union bosses let Lombardo win, one because he was the sheriff in Vegas and will go along to get along, and two, because the unions were pissed that Sisolak locked down Vegas during the pandemic.
Good, now he can get a head together to work on the fraud.
