Virginia GOP Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Friday brushed off former President Trump's criticism of him – which followed his lieutenant governor, Winsome Sears, saying Trump should remove himself from GOP electoral politics.
"Listen, you all know me," Youngkin told reporters. "I do not call people names. I really work hard to bring people together … . That's not the way I roll and not the way I behave."
The governor's response followed Trump's criticism of him earlier Friday morning.
"Young Kin (now that's an interesting take. Sounds Chinese, doesn't it?) in Virginia couldn't have won without me," Trump posted on Truth Social. "I Endorsed him, did a very big Trump Rally for him telephonically, got MAGA to Vote for him - or he couldn't have come close to winning."
Trump also wrote: "But he knows that, and admits it. Besides, having a hard time with the Dems in Virginia - But he'll get it done!"
Sears suggested that Trump leave GOP politics following the midterm election results, in which the GOP under-performed, with much of the criticism aimed at Trump and the quality of candidates he endorsed.

Yup. By his very nature, The Donald is a natural anti-establishment, anti-uniparty man.
It’s not that he didn’t try to get the Swamp-GOP’s help. Priebus as Chief of Staff was a prime example. But the RINOs stabbed him in the back for 4 years, McCain did his thumbs-down on the last ObozoCare repeal attempt, and Paul Ryan was even worse.
Now the most urgent thing is to get new leaders at RNC, House, and Senate. No more McBackstabbers!
I’m telling ya, I am within one hundred more insults on walking away from Trump. Well maybe a hundred fifty if he keeps them to one every other day.
Speaking of Tiffany, what the hell happened?
This is allusion to Yougkin’s China ties.
Youngkin is the hero of the establishment - he is as bland as white bread with as much backbone.
Just shut your mouth, Trump, and walk your lovely girl down the aisle tomorrow.
Put a sock in it for one day, so the bride can be the center of attention.
If you ruin her day with more political bullshit, then you are a scuzzball.
Now there’s a funny picture.
Memes, anyone?
I swear he is in his second adolescence.
I think all those Covid shots have gone straight to his brain.
Exactly right.
Trump is trying to pick off his most talented competition, even before anyone has announced.
What a waste of time and energy!
Sorry, you misunderstood.
I was not chiding you.
Just noting you really did make a keen observation.
There goes the sexist “does she look good and wear skimpy clothes” nonsense again.
She is just fine.
Glenn may need to change the way he rolls.
Good point.
He had really good children. He should be proud of that. Instead he squanders whatever he managed to do well with his childishness.
Not sure how his children did so well. Maybe Ivanna was more important than anyone knows.
Good point!
COVID shots!
LOL
Yes, it’s so terrible and anachronistic to be a gentleman.
My father was a gentleman.
As was his father and my other grandfather.
It is not a bad thing. Stop scoffing.
It’s about civility and manners and decency.
Ask George Washington, or Ronald Reagan.
It doesn’t change over the ages.
But, I do think society has changed quite a but since then. Collectively we are less civil than we were in prior decades. I see Washington up close and personal and the political class, though never an honest bunch, at least used to get along with each other—have a beer with the other side as they say. In the past 30 years that has changed exponentially. They are the rudest, nearest, most dishonest people and worse, thry enjoy hurting others. Its sport for them. Trump found that out after he got here. A true gentleman would be eaten for lunch here. The ones who seem like gentleman are using that persona to bamboozle people. Sorry to burst your bubble but DC is more like Gane Thrones than To Kill a Mockingbird.
Doesn’t the U.S. Constitution say the President and Vice President *can’t* be from the same state? And it’s not surprising that Virginia restricts governors to one term, since among the many 13 Colonies’ beefs against the British was the excessive power of royal governors.
Meanest not nearest.
Yes, but 2024 started awhile ago but they were all waiting for the mid-term to be over and now the gloves are off.
Haha! I kind of like your take on this.
Educate me.
