“Right, Trump does generate negative headlines, but what’s the source of those headlines?

Answer: The liberal media who all hate his guts and who don’t want him in the Oval Office.”

What? If Trump didn’t piss on his own shoes, the media wouldn’t have those headlines.

If this were an honest world, Trump would be half way through his second term right now.

He would be probably be encouraging DeSantis to carry the torch forward.

DeSantis is a gift from God, for sure.

He has by far the most well-rounded qualifications of anybody running, not running or pretending to run.

And he emphasizes America’s core objective principle - Freedom.

Not just somebody’s subjective notion of Greatness, which means nothing specific.
To some, Great means a Warp Speed SwampVax. To others, it means Freedom from it.

"you guys cook up some insane NSA ancient aliens 5D chess theory."

If you'd bothered to read my original comment, I said: "I WONDER if President Trump is setting a trap..."

It was nothing conclusive, just a thought I threw out. Funny, if that's what you call cooking something up.

Trump should quietly retire to the role of elder party statesman and let the younger generations take over. Otherwise, he risks ensuring his legacy will be remembering him as some old guy yelling at the clouds.

DeSantis has already lost. He lost by making a succession of terrible decisions that doom him to Florida retail politics forever.

Trump is being smart here: attack his opponent when he is off-guard, and attack him at his alleged strong point, his easy victory in the governor’s race. I got more votes than you in your own state is a good prediction of how a Trump vs. DeSantis primary contest would go, and DeSantis has no retort.

Up until a few days ago I would not have voted for anyone else in the planet other than The Donald.

I’ve supported him and donated a lot of money to his campaign since 2015, but I’m sorry, but our President Trump has become unhinged and I can no longer support him in a Presidential campaign.

“...a good prediction of how a Trump vs. DeSantis primary contest would go...”

I agree.

DeSavage slaughtered The Don in terms of margins of victory.

All that knowledge and technology and control of American MEDIA...

I doubt the billionaire oligarchs who own Big Media are taking their orders from any six-figure a year bureaucrat who temporarily heads the CIA.

More likely, it's the reverse.

We should be talking if Trump’s accomplishments, and there many, but due to whatever reason Trump cannot keep his mouth shut. He will not be recognized as a statesman but rather as a whacked out loon. And he did it to himself.

I feel exactly the same way. And I feel that if he’s lost me, a true supporter for years, through thick and thin, the handwriting is on the wall. Makes me sad, but I’ve moved on.

DeSantis should call Trump and make peace with him by agreeing future plans.

By not responding to any of his childish taunts, DeSantis is allowing Trump to implode all on his own.

It’s not Trump’s fault OZ lost.

Mastriano held Oz down. Losing to Shapiro by 14 points, there was no way there'd be enough ticket-splitters to bring Oz across the finish line.

Doug Mastriano was one of the worst statewide politicians the GOP has ever nominated.

And he was Trump's guy.

Eh, but he was President Trump’s picked candidate, as was Mastriano.

PA had a high number of ballots cast via EV. Those voters typically skew Democrat. Mastriano and Oz were behind for almost all of the campaign. With that set of circumstances, it’s a tough haul. Endorsing candidates is a double-edged sword. I do disagree what some are saying - that President only endorsed sure win candidates. He took a real risk with Oz and Mastriano - and lost. Own up that they didn’t work out - and move on.

Instead he’s publicly critical of them both. Okay. And then he goes after DeSantis repeatedly in public.

It’s a temperament thing. DeSantis living in President Trump’s head rent free is apparent. And it’s a reason there should be a primary contest for the Republican nominee - temperament. If DeSantis gets pummeled, he’s a big boy. Same for Trump.

Did it ever occur to anyone here that Trump is pissed at Desantis for never coming out and condemning the FBI raid on Trump's home in Desantis' home state. Nothing but crickets from the Governor of Florida and that no doubt pissed off Trump. Desantis has been as quiet as a church mouse over the jack booted raid. Yeah, Trump is angry and for good reason.

He’s toast now. Exposing himself as in not caring about his supporters or the country.

He’s worked out a deal with the DOJ to take out DeSantis to avoid a real prosecution. Nothing else explains his behavior.
