I love Trump, would vote for him again should he survive a primary, but he has reached his ceiling. He could have exceeded where his ceiling is but really in the first debate against Biden he did himself in. If it were Trump vs Desantis in a primary I’d vote for Desantis. He has an America First agenda with a higher ceiling due to much better communication skills.
We won back the House right? And the Senate is within reach, right? What's this guy talking about?
Trump gave us Peace and Prosperity, while DeSantis supports war in Ukraine. No thanks.
Trump did fail, and badly.
And whereas Trump remained standing for several years - still standing - I am afraid DeSantis will not be as durable.
Lose with Trump. He couldn’t beat anyone.
Trump will not be announcing anything until after the run off for the Georgia Senate seat in a month or so. His focus now is to help get Hershel Walker elected.
It wasn’t s good as we all wanted but anyone in MAGA who thought 1 election was going to fix what the RINO’s turned our party into was delusional.
I think MAGA is being played. we got rid of a bunch of RINO’s and elected a bunch of new MAGA reps. The GOP now controls the House and most likely the Senate. Some big liberal dems are gone.
yes we should have won by more but it was a win and the GOP is changing because of MAGA. Lots more work to do.
No, he didn’t. He did a great job.
DeSantis does not agree with the war. Where did you come to that conclusion?
Yep.
Demonkraps’ and their assistant RINOs’ 2022 plan was to make the mid-terms about Trump. They needed to get the average dummy voter’s eyes off the gas pump or empty store shelves. At the end of the election the party of hate started spouting their empty rhetoric that they were the party to solve inflation an crime.
Political reality is that the states are gerrymandered to such a high degree that very few House races are truly competitive. The incumbents win overwhelmingly. My district average vote for the House is 65% demonkrap. In a bad year it is 60%. ~30 years ago a GOP challenger, businessman, also involved with helping people, was leader in some non-profits - all behind the scenes. He got 46% of the vote; the incumbent was sweating that one. The GOP guy was one and done, decided to retire and leave the area.
Follow the money.
PS: Trump was tireless campaigning across this country for GOP candidates and deserves nothing but credit for any and all successes achieved in this midterm election.
Winning the House was a huge achievement and if we accomplish nothing else we won the midterms.
Yeah, right....
You will be voting for Trump in Nov. ‘24.
Get used to the idea.
Where else are you going to go?
The left, including the Trotskyite neocons, uses projection as one of their leading rhetorical tactics.
Despite his warts (and all), Trump is a dreadnought among canoes and kayaks. One of a kind.
This country needs Trump to survive.
DeSantis is great, but we don't yet know how he will perform when attacked with the full force of the Left on a national stage.
Same with Irving Kristol and his wife Gertrude Himmelfarb, both of whom were interesting and worth reading, unlike their intellectually flabby and useless son, Bill.
More love from the Je I mean New York Times.
That’s right. Even if Liz Cheney were the Republican nominee in 2024, the Left and LSM would have made her over into the Wicked Witch of Wyoming by November.
